White Tea

White tea is often considered the simplest of the six major tea categories, as it only undergoes light withering, sun-drying, and final drying. But the truth is, anything truly “good” is never simple.

My white teas, apart from some material sourced from Tongmu Guan in the Wuyi Mountains, mostly come from Jinping Village in Zhenghe County. This is the home village of a classmate of mine, and I have been processing her family’s tea leaves since 2013—now for a full 13 years.

Even I can clearly feel how much our craftsmanship has matured over time. This maturity is built on our deep familiarity with the terroir, as well as over a decade of hands-on experience making tea under a wide range of weather conditions.

The 2026 Mudan Wang (Peony King) and Silver Needle, the 2025 Tongmu white tea, and especially the 2013 aged  Mudan Wang  are all highly recommended.
