The Story of This Tea
Jinping Village lies deep within the Jiufeng Mountains of Zhenghe County, one of Fujian’s most treasured origins for white tea. At more than 800 meters above sea level, the area is surrounded by cloud-covered peaks, ancient trees, and mountain streams so clear you can see the fish glide beneath the surface. Traditional houses with black tiles and white walls rest quietly against the slopes, preserving the grace of old Fujian architecture.
The climate here is gentle yet dynamic, with cool summers, crisp autumns, misty springs, and the occasional winter snow. Annual rainfall reaches around 1,800 mm, while the deep red-yellow soil, rich in organic matter, allows the tea roots to grow freely and absorb abundant minerals. These ideal natural conditions make Jinping a model environment for producing rich, clean, and aromatic Zhenghe white teas.
Aroma and Flavour
Zhenghe Da Bai Cha is the most esteemed cultivar in the region. It produces fat, downy buds and oval dark-green leaves that yield an elegant, pure tea with remarkable sweetness and clarity. The aroma is initially floral and fresh, then deepens over time into soft honey and wood tones as the tea ages naturally. The taste reflects both freshness and depth, with a smooth, full texture that lingers gently on the palate.
