The Story of This Tea
This Wild Lapsang Souchong grows freely on the hillsides surrounding Tongmuguan, the historic birthplace of black tea. Unlike cultivated garden teas, these bushes are scattered naturally across the mountain slopes, intertwined with ferns, bamboo, and native forest vegetation. Tea pickers climb the steep terrain each spring, searching through the wild growth to find the tender new leaves ready for harvest.
Because it grows in this untouched environment, the tea carries the true signature of the mountain. Clean, vibrant, and naturally balanced. It captures the untamed essence of Tongmuguan’s ecology, where wild diversity and mineral-rich soils shape each cup into something vivid, alive, and unmistakably pure.
Aroma and Flavour
Wild Lapsang Souchong is bright and expressive, offering both freshness and warmth. The aroma is lightly citrusy with hints of creamy sweetness and ripe peach. The flavour is smooth and sweet, leaving a gentle lingering finish that refreshes the palate. The liquor is clear and golden-red, reflecting both purity and balance, and it maintains stable character across many infusions.
