The Story of This Tea
Song Zhong is one of the classic cultivars of Phoenix Dan Cong, directly descended from the historic Song Zhong No. 1 mother tree, preserved through asexual propagation to retain its unique qualities.
This tea comes from Lizaiping Village, a high-altitude area of Phoenix Mountain renowned for producing elegant, high-aroma Dan Cong oolongs. At 1150 meters, the mature tea bushes grow slowly, developing a refined fragrance, layered sweetness, and a distinctive mountain charm known locally as yun.
