The Story of This Tea
This year’s Narcissus White is an exceptional white tea crafted from the Shui Xian cultivar, a variety most often used for Wuyi oolongs. In 2025, perfect spring weather conditions allowed the leaves to develop remarkable sweetness and balance, making this one of the finest harvests in recent years. The leaves were picked following the classic standard of one bud with two plump leaves, ensuring both tenderness and depth of flavour.
The tea was gently withered on bamboo sieves under natural airflow for three days, then lightly finished with electrical baking to preserve its bright character. This process retains the freshness of the leaves while enhancing their honeyed sweetness. When brewed, the tea’s floral fragrance fills the air, and the liquor reveals a rock sugar sweetness that feels pure and cooling, ideal for warm weather or moments of quiet reflection.
Aroma and Flavour
Narcissus White is clean, fragrant, and delicately rich. The liquor is bright and golden with a floral aroma that hints at orchids and wild honey. The Shui Xian cultivar contributes both floral elegance and a soft, rounded texture, giving the tea a smooth and lingering sweetness that grows deeper with each sip.
