The Story of This Tea
This Shui Xian is made from our own tea garden in Dashuikeng, Wuyi Mountain. It is a young-bush (non-laocong) Shui Xian, with an average tree age of around 15 years. The leaves were picked on April 7th, following the standard plucking of one bud with two leaves.
Due to continuous rainfall starting from April 4th, we had to wait for a suitable window to process the tea, and only managed to harvest on April 7th. As the rain never fully stopped, the fresh leaves retained a high moisture content, resulting in a slightly softer aroma compared to the 2025 batch.
This tea garden has been left completely wild since planting, with no human intervention. It is overgrown with weeds, and the tea trees grow sparsely and unevenly, leading to a very low yield. However, the ecological conditions are exceptionally good.
Because of the high-quality material, the liquor of this white tea is outstanding, with a pronounced sweetness. From the very first infusion, you can immediately recognize the grade of the leaves—this is a very direct tea, one that reveals its quality instantly and transparently in your gaiwan.
