Old Bush Lapsang Souchong 老枞小种2010
his Lapsang Souchong is produced in Guadun Village of Tongmuguan. Tongmuguan is the birthplace of Lapsang Souchong and Jinjunmei. It is located at the junction of Fujian Province and Jiangxi Province. It has warm winters and cool summers, with an average annual temperature of 18°C. The annual rainfall is about 2,000 millimeters, and there are clouds and mist all day long at the turn of spring and summer. The mountain soil is fertile and the vegetation is lush. It is a natural treasure land for the growth of tea trees. The altitude of Gua dun is over 1,300 meters, and there are vast expanses of century-old wilderness. The trees are over a hundred years old and have not been pruned for more than 20 years. The tea trees are as tall as one person and are much taller than ordinary old trees!
The tea garden is densely covered with moss, with black soil on the surface and loess and gravel below. The good ecological environment and high-quality soil create a foundation for the growth of tea trees.
I processed this tea in 2010 and then stored it. I kept it myself and kept it at home. I haven’t opened the box from 2010 to now (I have kept some of our favorites every year since 2010 ,in order to better understand the transformation of them, because I don’t know how the tea will change in 10 years, so we are willing to let time tell us)
When you drink it, your taste buds will tell you directly that this is a well-preserved aged tea. it is a very, very mellow and clean black tea, with a light aged taste and a very obvious medicinal aroma.
Smooth, Clean, and Pure with a lovely thick body.
