The Story of This Tea
Although Aotou Village is administratively part of Huangkeng Town, it lies deep within the Wuyi Mountain Nature Reserve. At around 1000 meters altitude, it shares the same pristine environment as the nearby Tongmuguan region. The forests, rocky soils, and mountain mists of this area nurture tea that is both clean and vibrant, reflecting the authentic high-mountain character of Wuyishan.
This floral-style Lapsang Souchong is crafted from the Mei Zhan cultivar, renowned for its natural floral fragrance and subtle spicy undertones. Mei Zhan brings a distinctive liveliness to black tea, with a balance of depth and elegance that differs from the traditional Cai Cha-based Zhengshan Xiaozhong. The result is a refined, refreshing cup with pronounced sweetness and a smooth, lingering finish.
