The raw materials of this tea come from Guadun Village in Tongmuguan, the birthplace of the world's black tea. The average altitude is about 1,200 meters. The mountains are stacked and the clouds are shrouded, providing an excellent growing environment for tea.

This Lapsang Souchong was   made using the most primitive and traditional smoking processing technology in Tongmuguan, which is now called smoked Zhengshan Xiaozhong  烟熏小种 on the market.

The production steps of this smoked Xiaozhong are:

1: After the fresh leaves are picked, they are directly spread on the second floor of the smoke building (a building specially used for smoking tea,we call 烟楼,or 青楼) for withering. The smoke building is usually a two-story structure with breathable bamboo strips woven in the middle. The first floor is an open-air area for burning dry pine needles and pine wood. Pine wood contains pine oil, and when the temperature of pine wood rises, the pine oil will evaporate. This pine oil will be adsorbed on the fresh leaves, slowly giving the tea a unique longan fragrance. The fresh leaves wither in this smoke house for about 7-8 hours, then roll and ferment, and then put the fermented tea leaves in the smoke house for drying.

The 2025 century-old smoked Xiaozhong We use the raw materials from Guadun Village, one of the 12 natural villages in Tongmu, for processing. The age of the tea trees is about 120 years.

The taste of this smoked Xiaozhong is very sweet and soft, and the smoked taste is relatively strong.

(Note : the online Zhengshan Xiaozhong of wuyiorigin, except for the marked smoked Xiaozhong, the others are all Zhengshan Xiaozhong with unsmoky technology. If you like  lighter smoky style Lapsangsouchong , you can chen my 2021.2022. 2023 versions . because after keeping ,the smoky aroma will fade, but if you like a strong smoke, then you can buy the 2025 version)

The tea soup is delicate and soft, the smoke feeling is moderate, the aftertaste is obvious, and the aftertaste is long.
