Cloud Mist Green 云雾绿茶 (2026)
This High Mountain Cloud Mist Green Tea is the only green tea I have consistently produced, starting from 2017 up until now. The leaves come from Jinping Village in Zhenghe County, Fujian—a well-known tea-producing region with a long history of tea making.
Before white tea became popular, almost every household in Zhenghe produced green tea, which was then sent to Hengzhou in Guangxi to be scented into jasmine tea. Since around 2013, as white tea gained popularity, most producers shifted to processing their leaves into white tea instead.
As I don’t grow green tea myself, I travel to Zhenghe every year at the end of March to produce white tea. During that time, some of my wholesale clients ask me to make small batches of green tea for them. This has continued ever since, and their sales have been steadily growing.
Although this green tea doesn’t have the same fame as Longjing or Anji Baicha, its taste and price offer exceptional value. If you are a green tea lover, this is definitely not something you should miss.
This tea reveals a soft, nutty fragrance reminiscent of fresh soybeans and roasted chestnuts, underpinned by a gentle sweetness. The liquor is smooth, light, and bright, leaving a clean and pleasant aftertaste. It performs beautifully in both casual and gongfu preparation, offering a soothing, refreshing cup ideal for summer drinking.
