The Story of This Tea
This 2025 White Peony (Bai Mu Dan 白牡丹) comes from Jinping Village in Zhenghe County, Fujian Province, one of the core producing areas of authentic Fujian white tea. The gardens sit amid rolling mountain slopes with clean air and mineral-rich soil, creating the ideal environment for slow, balanced leaf growth. The Da Bai cultivar, famous for its thick buds and delicate sweetness, forms the foundation of this elegant tea.
According to the picking grade, this is a high-grade White Peony. While typical Bai Mu Dan may include two or even three mature leaves with a smaller bud, this batch features notably plump buds and tender leaves, indicating an early and careful harvest. Compared with the more delicate Peony King, this tea offers a heavier, thicker body that highlights the richness of the leaf material. It is ideal for those who enjoy white tea with pronounced flavour and texture.
