The Story of This Tea
This year’s Narcissus White is of particularly high quality. The fresh leaves were carefully picked with the standard of one bud and two plump leaves. Spring 2025 offered ideal weather conditions, regarded as the best in the past decade for producing white tea. As a result, the character of this harvest is exceptionally strong and refined.
When brewed, the tea reveals its excellence immediately. The liquor is sweet, reminiscent of rock sugar, with a pronounced floral aroma that fills the air. The Shui Xian cultivar, better known for oolong, offers a unique expression when crafted into white tea: bright, refreshing, and remarkably smooth.
Aroma and Flavour
- Aroma: Strong floral fragrance, vibrant and clean
- Flavour: Sweet like rock sugar, rich and refreshing
- Texture: Smooth, full, and delicate
- Aftertaste: Long-lasting sweetness with cooling clarity
The processing involves withering the fresh leaves on bamboo sieves under natural airflow for three days, followed by light finishing with electrical baking. This retains the freshness of the leaves while deepening their natural sweetness. The result is a tea that tastes like liquid sugar water, perfect for enjoying in hot summer weather.
