The Story of This Tea

Mi Lan Xiang, or Honey Orchid Fragrance, is the most famous and widely grown cultivar in the Phoenix Dan Cong family, known for its strong aroma, balanced sweetness, and smooth texture. While Wukui Village often represents the pinnacle of Phoenix Mountain, Da’an Village is the spiritual home of Mi Lan Xiang. Here, ancient tea gardens rest between 900 and 1100 meters, surrounded by rocky slopes and misty forests.

The soil in Da’an is yellow-gray and rich in minerals, a combination that enhances the cultivar’s inherent honeyed fragrance and soft fruit sweetness. The result is a tea that perfectly balances fragrance, depth, and clarity. A true reflection of Phoenix Mountain’s unique terroir and the enduring craftsmanship of Chaozhou’s tea heritage.

Aroma and Flavour

This Mi Lan Xiang opens with a heady floral honey fragrance that defines the cultivar’s name. The liquor is golden amber, smooth, and full-bodied, with layers of sweetness that evoke honey, ripe fruit, and a hint of mountain florals. The texture is thick and silky, offering a lingering finish that feels both warming and refreshing. Each infusion unfolds gently, revealing new layers of aroma and depth.
